Overview
What to Expect
Qingcheng Mountain, located in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, is one of China’s most famous Taoist mountains and the legendary birthplace of Taoism. With a history of over 2,000 years, it is where Zhang Daoling, the founder of Taoism, established the “Way of the Celestial Masters” in the Eastern Han Dynasty. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site (shared with Dujiangyan), Qingcheng Mountain is renowned for its serene beauty, lush green forests, and numerous ancient Taoist temples. Divided into Front Mountain (focus on culture and temples) and Back Mountain (focus on nature and hiking), it offers both spiritual exploration and outdoor adventure, just 1.5 hours from Chengdu.
